An 100% gluten free menu alone was enough to draw me in but Kitchen Green are so much more than gluten free. The team are clearly dedicated to producing gluten free, healthy and wholesome goods. Their menu changes seasonally – so you can warm up in winter with chia porridge or refresh in summer with a green smoothies. Their beautiful selection of savoury and sweet options demonstrate their creativity and expertise. To Kitchen Green, gluten free is an opportunity for experimentation.
The regulars include a banana, date, chia and coconut loaf with macadamia butter, roast vegetable frittata with supergreen pesto (yum!), muffins and tarts of the sweet kind (think poached fruit and saffron) and the savoury (think pumpkin, mushroom and ricotta).
You can find Kitchen Green every Saturday at Eveleigh Farmers’ Market or at their cafe at 24 Arden St in Waverley. As a regular Eveleigh market-goer, if you are looking for gluten free, you must head straight to the end of the markets to the Kitchen Green stall. Nothing else compares in freshness and quality. Inevitably, as I always do, you’ll walk away with bags full of food to keep you amused and full over the weekend.
In terms of wholesale, I discovered Kitchen Green supply to catering companies, law firms, private schools, preschools, OOSH and plenty of cafes and restaurants throughout Sydney. I’m mega jealous and keen to get my workplace on board.
